Baker Knapp & Tubbs’ Lexicon Collection of casegoods, upholstery and lighting, created by in-house designer, Shaun Melvin, develops a look somewhere between art and furniture. Speaking to a natural, often sculptural aesthetic, the result is at once strikingly modern. The Chest on Stand pays tribute to both modern architecture and the façade of the Post Office Bank in Vienna, a building distinguished by exposed metal fasteners, which hold the marble cladding in place. From a distance, these fasteners create a pattern not unlike the one created here by the combination of drawer pulls and varied drawer heights... The Sillicate Chandelier, reminiscent of waterfalls, is created from cascading tiers of hand-blown cloudy Murano glass folds and features a high-gloss glaze to bring out the character and imperfections.

Roth Collection brings the new Dakota Jackson Summer 2008 Collection to the showroom, including the state-of-the-art Arabesque Collection of cocktail, dining and occasional tables in provocative Azure (here) or charcoal, chalk and ruby polychrome high luster finishes over maple and composite substrates. The tables’ winding forms and spiraling legs explore the relationship between organic shapes related to nature and the human body, and hard-edged geometric forms. When viewed at different angles, they appear alternately balanced and counter-balanced holding a graceful air of extension much like the dancer’s arabesque position. Roth Collection is proud to announce the addition of Barbara Stockert to our business family. Barb comes to us with years of industry experience. She owned and managed an independent showroom in the Troy Design Center and carried several of our lines. Most recently she has been a manufacturers representative. Barb will be calling on our designer community, so, please welcome her. She will have lots of new, beautiful things to show you!
